Cyclobenzaprine

Cyclobenzaprine is a generic version of the drug Flexeril. It's used to help relax certain muscles in your body. By blocking sensory impulses that cause pain, Cyclobenzaprine relieves pain, stiffness, and discomfort caused by strains, sprains, and other injuries to the muscle.

Side Effects Common side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, blurred vision, and dry mouth. These side effects are not serious enough for you to stop treatment. If you experience any of the more severe side effects associated with Cyclobenzaprine such as allergic reaction, seizures, hallucinations, blurred vision, confusion, increased heart rate, or depression stop taking Cyclobenzaprine and seek medical attention.

Suggested Use Take Cyclobenzaprine exactly as directed by your doctor. The normal prescribed dose for most patients is one 10 mg tablet three times a day (not to exceed 60 mg or six 10 mg tablets within a 24-hour period). If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember.

If it's an hour past your normal scheduled dose, skip it and continue with the next one. If you have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) within the past 14 days, DO NOT take Cyclobenzaprine. Serious complications can occur.

Also, before you begin treatment with Cyclobenzaprine, let your doctor know about any prescription and/or over-the-counter medicines you are taking.
